DISC is a series of short videos exploring the natural world's inner harmonies. The films' centerpiece is a fully functioning array of vintage monitors and analogue video mixers which made it possible to plug a cactus into a guitar amp, or visualize the memories of a jar of honey.
We composed an original song and collected thematic video clips for each DISC - Honey, Cactus, Seashell - and then 'performed' the animations by warping and mixing the clips, capturing the recursive and melting analogue effects in-camera.
After the shoot, the dome structure and musical equipment was reorganized to host a series of monthly parties where bands, dj’s, and emcees performed in our studio.
