DISC is a series of short videos exploring the natural world's inner harmonies and frequencies that lie just beyond our perception. DARK IGLOO'S SONIC COMPUTER, the centerpiece of these films, was a fully functional array of vintage monitors and analogue video mixers that made it possible to plug a cactus into a guitar amp, turn up a seashell, or view the memories of a jar of honey.
For each DISC - HONEY, CACTUS, SEASHELL - we composed an original song and collected thematic video clips, before remixing and performing them live, capturing the recursive and melting analogue effects in-camera.
After the shoot, the dome structure and musical equipment was reorganized to host a series of monthly parties where bands, dj’s, emcees, and artists could perform alongside live visuals.
