GIPHY Events

GIF Artists have been a vibrant part of the art world since the GIF was created in 1987. As GIPHY's creative directors, we staged a series of events bringing these animations off of the screen and into the gallery.

Gallery events included discussions hosted by The New Museum, and commissioned works included new pieces by Alan Resnick, Sam Cannon, and Robert Beatty.

Dark Igloo created a handful of new kinetic works - including a 6-foot long kaleidoscope, and video-infused basketball hoop - as well as naming and branding for each show.
